Hebrew Verb Tables app good for
This app is very useful if youre learning Hebrew and need assistance with conjugations. Very complete and easy to use. A must-have app!
a unique tool for Hebrew learners who need help to navigate the Hebrew conjugation. the table is comprehensive (over 3000 fully conjugated verbs in all four tenses WITH niqqoud), search both in English and Hebrew, and the interface is user-friendly, clear and nicely designed visually. downloadable so no Internet access required. top choice.
Just what I needed most to study hebrew verbs. And with vowels, pronunciation and much more. A very useful app. congratulations to the developers.
Good app. First App for conjugating hebrew Shoresh (verbs).
Please add searching ability. Would be nice, because scrolling through list takes to much time.
Learning aids can´t be good enough! This one fulfills its purpose in a comfortable way. The size of the letters can be made large enough to be able to read even longer words at a glance while memorizing them. It´s as much fun as learning can be.
Awesome app! Im using it to study in a Universityintermediate Hebrew course. Works amazingly. Search option and binyanim are indicated next to the verb Every verb ive looked for is there. Recommended.
Some bad moments
Im a struggling Hebrew student, and SOOOOOO happy we live in the age of iPhones and apps. This one is a real winner, There are TONS of conjugated verbs, with very clear nekudot. I had difficulty with adjusting the size of the conjugated verbs until I turned my iPhone off and then on, at which point the adjusted setting took hold. I highly recommend this app - it sure beats carrying around a luach! Thanks, toojuice!
I learned about this app recently through the Jewish iPhone community and knew it was for me. There is a book that offers similar information, but I was so happy to find this app. I check it 10 times a day in class. I wish I would have had it when I started Ulpan in Jerusalem four months ago!
The support team has been very accessible. Its a pretty straightforward app that offers exactly what it says it does - Hebrew verbs, fully conjugated with nekudot so you can pronounce a verb correctly the first time.
It switches easily between English and Hebrew searches. Although it took me a little time to locate the settings (in V 1.0. they are in the settings for the iPhone itself rather than inside the app), I appreciate the ability to make the font bigger and to have the app open in whichever tense I prefer (past, present, future or command).
Ive already asked the support team to consider making the magnifying glass that initiates a search larger and also to be able to search by the infinitive form of the verb in Hebrew. In truth, it would be excellent to be able to search the database by any form you have, so you can see the rest of the conjugations and the meaning of the verb, but that might be a bit more complicated.
In truth, you need to know the root letters of the verb to be able to search for it in Hebrew, so that requires a certain amount of knowledge. It might be an app an absolute beginner in Hebrew has to grow into, but it is such a great tool.
I told the students in my ulpan class about it and they want to know if its available in Hebrew and Russian.
Very good App, but would be better if the App was designed for an iPad as well. When you enlarge it for the IPad, it is blurry.
I was hoping for an update for the iPad and here it is. Awesome! I love it.
I am a biblical and modern Hebrew student and I love this app! The app is geared for the modern Hebrew student but is usable for biblical too as long as you remember the differences between the two languages such as the infinitive absolute and the infinitive construct thats in biblical but not in modern. If the verbs could be separated by their category or הגזרה like (3rd ה or ל״ה) that would be fantastic and much more convenient for study.
This could also really benefit from a quiz option that tests the student on identifying, or parsing, the verb. Would also be great if there was a biblical Hebrew version or addition to this app! Id totally buy it!
The holam vowel has some difficulties being seen, for example the verb to dream in 3ms perfect is חלם and the holam in its infinitive form is harder to see לחלם
I have been studyig Hebrew for three years now and this is by far the best and most used investment I have made. This program is incredibly simple, you search in English or Hebrew find all the verbs you are working with and can put them on a seperate "favorite" list. If you are used to working with verb tables or a dictionary this program will save you ALOT of time. I use it when doing Hebrew work and to study since you can pull up the tables within seconds. I found a small bug with the software and the developer emailed me back within a few hours and had it fixed the next day. This app payed for itself in the time I saved writing out or printing out verb tables.
